The Adelaide Hills is increasingly being recognised as the world's best region for cool climate varieties. The "Bird in Hand" range is premium wine, primarily sourced from the Woodside property, with warmer climate varietals sourced from South Australian regions such as the Fleurieu Peninsula and Clare.
Benefiting from being both the viticulturist and winemaker, Andrew Nugent, imparts meticulous attention into both the growing of grapes and the creation of premium wine. This year's range includes: Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and a Sparkling (red) Pinot Noir.

Leabrook Estate is a family-owned boutique winery located in the cool climate Adelaide Hills at Lobethal in South Australia. Since its opening in 1976 by Award Winning Chef Maximilian, Maximilian's Restaurant & Premium Wines has become an Adelaide Hills icon. Located in the picturesque town of Verdun, only 20 minutes from Adelaide's CBD and less than 10 mins from Cladich Pavilions, Maximilian's today includes a working farm with cattle, geese and emus, vineyards with Cellar Door Tastings and the sprawling country manor that is Maximilian's Restaurant.

Nepenthe Wines |

In 1994, the Tweddell family purchased a premium property in the sub-region of Lenswood in the Adelaide Hills. The property was carefully selected and planted to 24 hectares of vines with the intent of producing premium wine. Proven varieties such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc were planted, as well as interesting varieties such as Zinfandel and Pinot Gris. In 1996, Nepenthe received approval to build its winery, only the second in the Adelaide hills at the time.
